Turbulent Sea October 5, 2008 As a Chritine Feehan fan, I guess I am a little biased. Loved the book, loved all the characters and the story was great. Whilst I tend to love the Dark Series the best, the story of the seven sisters and their partners is a enjoyable read, the men are always "hot" and so is the romance. Keep them coming. Renart
Amazing October 5, 2008 For those who have read the last 5 books in the series, this picks right up where the last left off. It brings Joley and Ilya together against the background of Joley finishing her latest tour and has all the twists and turns of Alexandr's courting of Abby.
A Spectacular Thrill & Mystery October 3, 2008 I found this story to be as fascinating as all of the others and just as exciting. I loved everything it had to offer and even what it did not. It missed that one star because I was hoping for Joley to user her powers more and for Ilya to let more be known about himself and his background. I do hope that in the other books that they can both be able to do this.
I cannot wait for Elle's book... September 27, 2008 I have fallen in love with the Drake family. Abby and Hannah were my favorite and I loved Joley's wild streak. In fact, I first read Oceans of Fire first which is Abby's story. When I read that book I had to go back and read the entire Drake series. When I first read Oceans of Fire I was so disappointed that Feehan did not include a love story with Hannah and Jonas (which turns out later Hannah got her story) and I was disappointed that I didn't know more about Ilya and I thought I could see a little whisper of a Joley and a Ilya relationship for the future (and I guess I was right about that too). So after reading the other books I finally got my disappointments washed away. I really enjoyed Ilya and Joley's relationship and the way things progressed. The only thing is the story was a bit predictable since I kind of had a feeling how it was going to play out. All I can say is I can't wait to see how Jackson handles the idea of being a father to seven little magical girls.
Best in the series, yet September 27, 2008 Perhaps because the setting was away from the Drake Sister's famous home and all the other sisters, but I found this one to be one of the best in the series. Finally, the reader gets to devil deeper into Ilya Prakenskii, the bodyguard, the killer, the mobster? Or is he? We just didn't know. Well, after reading this book, we now know all there is to know about Ilya, even the fact that he has a very sweet sense of humor.
I even liked reading about Joley and her band members. It was just so nice to get away from all the sisters. There are just too many of them and they are all too much alike in personality, it gets confusing. Separately, the novel flows much better.
