Very helpful for RN program . . . September 2, 2008 I was supposed to order this book for my ADRN program, and I have found it wonderful and easy to use. People have to keep in mind that it doesn't have every drug that ever existed in here, but I am able to understand well and get my homework done. I will always keep this book and use it for reference once I graduate. This not only was required, but if it wasn't, I would recommend it.
Just as I expected! August 12, 2008 This is the only Drug Book I will buy. Once again, they published a awesome drug book.
Amazing!!! So helpful!!! July 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book got me through my first year of clinicals!!!!!!!! As a nursing student we were required to know all the information possible for the medications our patients would be taking. This drug guide helped me so much! It comes with a CD you can put on your computer so you can just type in the name and look up information about certain drugs. If you don't have a computer at the time though, this book is small enough to just carry around with you and contains every bit of information you will need to know about medications. It was very helpful!!!
Decent June 3, 2008 I purchased this book in January of 2008 as it was recommended by the college I was attending. I have referenced it many of times for various assignments. 7 out of 10 times this book will have the drug I am looking for. There are many new drugs out there that are used on a regular bases in the hospital that you will not find in this book. Save yourself the money and the shelf space and either get a PDA or a newer edition.
Great book, especially CD! April 22, 2008 This is a great resource. The CD and program (QLU) are particularly helpful as I've been writing care plans for nursing school. I graduate next month and this will continue to be a valuable resource as I work in pediatric home care!
