Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Beneficial, but not perfect!   March 22, 2008

The Official Guide to Ancestry.com This book is a definite must for any genealogist, professional or otherwise, to have in their library. At the same time I must say that I was a little disappointed. This book desperately needed a good editor. The organization of the book was questionable and some items were not written with clarity. It came across to me as somewhat amateurish. What is needed on this subject is a "For Dummies" book. That kind of book would be extremely helpful and more objective in my opinion.

This was a very quick read but had lots of helpful information if one is new to Rootsweb. I'm glad I bought it. Good reference.

I found the book extremely useful and easy to read. I've used Rootsweb for over 10 years now, but this book has allowed me to explore other areas of the site that I didn't know existed. I highly recommend it to every genealogist out there.
