Product Description Good manners are no longer the staid convention of stuffy boardrooms and executive offices. Savvy etiquette savoir-faire is essential to succeeding in the new age of business. Not just a guide to professional presentation and lunch meetings, Business Etiquette For Dummies addresses 21st century workplace dilemmas such as handling a multi-cultural work environment, the proper protocol for manager/employee introductions, and courteous communication with new technologies. In today's business climate, etiquette is not just about being politically correct. It's a savvy survival strategy that can make or break your career and organization. Expert author Sue Fox covers ethical etiquette issues in the workplace: effectively handling off-site socializing, the appropriate way to spend company money on business entertainment, or creating a respectful workplace devoid of harassment. Business Etiquette For Dummies also provides context for the global economy with coverage of cultural courtesies, avoiding foreign faux pas, as well as cultural customs that women, in particular, need to be aware of.

Wonderful Resource for Teaching Business Manners Today January 3, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Using this guide has helped me to design the learning targets for a new business college course to teach business manners to young people who are just entering the business world. The book's contents cover everything from table setting to travelling for business purposes and has been an invaluable help to my course planning.
Very helpful business book December 5, 2005 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have found this to be a very helpful book in how to deal with people in a business. Though there are a few things which I feel are not the right approach and are just the opinion of the author, I think many would do well to study this book and put it into practice.

Why not ? November 30, 2000 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
Useful skills help to stand in the business world. Follows the legible formats in Dummies series. An interesting reading material to dig in on weekends, with serious rules to practise in the real world. No longer a dummy if follows what the book says.
