 Never at a Loss on What to Get November 4, 2007
I like having this book on hand to help me come up with appropriate and special gifts for all occasions and a variety of recipients. Here are ideas for Get-Well presents, Forgive-Me presents, teacher presents, congratulations presents, business presents, etc.
I like the suggestion for a grandparents present of interviewing the grandparent about his/her life and giving them the video.
Many of the gifts are simple but she gives the wording for the accompanying card to suit the gift/occasion. Your gifts will be remembered far beyond a ho-hum gift card or check.

The Perfect Present by Robyn Freedman Spizman is beyond ultimate. Before she begins suggesting presents for EVERY occasion imaginable, Spizman provides a detailed checklist to make sure her readers are well on their way to buying memorable presents BEFORE they even leave their homes. This book has saved me tremendous amounts of time and energy in the "present search" that we can all identify with. Not only is this book overflowing with 800 numbers AND websites, but each and every one of her gift ideas comes with suggestions to make your gift memorable. What an immense help this book has been! And the best part is that her suggestions are timeless, I'll use it for years and years to come. Thank you!

The Perfect Present is the PERFECT resource for every gift-giver and even gift. It's a well-researched guide, filled with amazing 1-800 numbers and outstanding Web Sites. ..................................This book offers creative ideas that have saved the day for me! I consider myself a great gift-giver, but the ideas in this book are a cut above! The Perfect Present made me want to buy a gift for everyone I know. This book takes the hassle out of choosing the perfect present. Whether you need a graduation gift, birthday or even a romantic present, this book will help guide you to the right one! There are unique gift ideas for every ocassion, and then some. The information is up-to-date and easily presented, and is jam packed with meaningful ideas. I recommend it for everyone who cares about giving the perfect present.

This book has some interesting ideas for gifts. Its publishing date is 1998 which sounds pretty recent but I did not come across a single online address to buy things...lots of 800 numbers though. I won't actually be putting this book into heavy use until December, so I am hoping the numbers are still current. Although I am a fan of Ms. Spizman's work in general, I have to say, I think that the other gift book I ordered (The Perfect Gift: The Ultimate Guide) has many more ideas and many more unique ideas. The Perfect Present is pretty and would make a great gift to give to someone!
