 A good tourist map of Puerto Rico. July 10, 2008

This map isn't as detailed as most road maps, but it has all of the major roads. Many times trying to find my way around smaller back roads I wasn't able to find them on the map, but mostly this map is designed to lead you to things you might want to see. There's a close up map of Old San Juan that's very useful, and attractions are marked on the map.
One of the attractions, Luquillo Beach, is not as nice as the map said it would be. It says it is the best and most beautiful beach, but it's not. They should have called it Garbage Beach because trash was everywhere, even in the water, and the bathrooms were third world quality. Don't let that turn you off on a trip to PR though, because there are many other beaches that are nice, including Isla Verde, a much nicer beach that we visited on our trip.
It's a small island, but if you're going to explore you'll find that it takes a long time to get places. This is a useful map to have with you, though I would have liked something with more detail. I couldn't find any, so I recommend this one.
